Über uns
Mit Freude am Mittelalter und gut recherchierten Inhalten sind wir auf verschiedenen Veranstaltungen (Mittelaltermärkten, Burgbelebungen, etc..) vorwiegend in Ostösterreich anzutreffen. Unser Fokus liegt auf dem einfachen Leben der spätmittelalterlichen Bevölkerung, in einer Zeit des Umbruchs.
Unser Angebot
Unser Profil ist vielfältig, unsere Stärken liegen in der Kulturvermittlung der mittelalterlichen Sachkultur. Außerdem führen wir Handwerk, Rüstzeug und Kampftechniken gerne vor.
Wir nehmen auch gerne an Feldschlachten und Belebungen sowie Bespielungen von historischen Orten teil.

These were mostly taken for fun, so don’t expect our usual level of historical accuracy this time. Just three of our members, their weapons, and a bit of dramatic posing. 😉

Comites Feroces at work in @mittelalterfesteggenburg
Not every piece of medieval material culture was grand or excessivly ornate. Some were simply useful—and that’s what makes them fascinating. 🪶
Raphael is working on a leather quill case, a small accessory for protecting and carrying writing quills. You can also find other cases, knife sheaths, and a leather dice cup. Objects like these offer a glimpse into the practical side of medieval life.
Sometimes, the smallest objects tell us the most about how people lived.

That's a wrap for Eggenburg 2026
A huge thank you to the organisers of Zeitreise ins Mittelalter in Eggenburg for an incredible weekend!
And thank you to everyone who stopped by our camp — whether you came to listen to a little bit of medieval craft, have a chat, or even try on some armour. It was a pleasure meeting you all and sharing a little piece of our world with you!
We had a fantastic time and are already looking forward to returning next year. Comites Feroces will be back!

Es war uns eine Freude, euch kennenzulernen und ein kleines Stück unserer Welt mit euch zu teilen!
Wir hatten eine fantastische Zeit und freuen uns jetzt schon darauf, nächstes Jahr wieder dabei zu sein. Comites Feroces kommen wieder!

The Middle Ages come alive – Eggenburg celebrates its biggest festival!
Step back in time with knights, minstrels, craftsmen, music, dancing, tournaments, acrobatics, fire shows and a medieval market with over 200 stalls. There’s also plenty for children and lots of historic activities throughout the old town.

What a wonderful weekend celebrating historical craftsmanship! 🪵🧵✨
We were delighted to be invited to the MAMUZ Castle Asparn/Zaya for their weekend dedicated to traditional and historical crafts - Hand.Werk.Geschichte.
We had the chance to demonstrate medieval woodworking, sarwürken (maille-making), and needlework, sharing our crafts with visitors and showing how these techniques were once practiced.
It was such a pleasure to meet so many curious and enthusiastic people, talk about historical crafts, answer questions, and bring a little bit of the past back to life. ❤️
A huge thank you to MAMUZ for inviting us and for putting together such a wonderful event! We’re very happy to have been part of this special weekend celebrating craftsmanship in all its forms.
